I happened to listen to Coruscate’s 2020 remix of Mad Symphony (his first ccMixter upload - and this is my first!). I loved the old-school vibe and witty lyrics, but I couldn’t get the samples to download. So I tried the original from 2009 and was able to get my hands on the accapella , which had been updated in 2020. I haven’t produced many hip-hop tracks and I’m not sure if I want to, but I gave it a go, trying to keep things as simple as possible (simple in my mind). I produced this at 150bpm, because that was the speed of the Frank Yola track I was remixing, and I wanted to use mostly the same samples. Thanks to MalreDeszik for those.
