I’m awed by the magic of this world this time of year. The longest night of winter solstice, the glorious northern lights, Orion’s belt rising in alignment with Sirius and the Sun, infinitely intricate snowflake fractal patterns, days with no night at the south pole. Whichever tradition we celebrate, whichever religion we ascribe too, we are all made of the same electrons, neutrons and protons. :D

The Light

It’s a frozen winter night
On a silver bed of snow
This silence stills the chill in my mind
With a warmth in my Soul from the moon all aglow

Symbol of a miracle, where we become one

Candles dance with our fire burning bright
Holding hands with the hope that our peace is right here
Angels with broken wings taking flight
