After some months away from ccMixter, I was pleasantly surprised to see the call for the Music & Identity project. There’s a part, under “ideas for samples”, where it says: “Create an instrumental that expresses your identity.” That made me rummage through earlier half-baked work that would probably not see light of day if I didn’t get off my procrastinating behind.
